How am I meant to hit the butterfly with melee if I can't get close?
I found this weird area in the Fire link shrine up high in the ruins and there is a birds nest you can curl up in I wonder if it's for any thing.
[color=#006FFF]I didn't use any magic in the battle (chose the knight class); all you have to do is dodge his two or three attacks, and wait for him to land on the edge of the bridge, and then slash the hell out of it. It takes some patience, but it's generally frustration-free. Oh, but look out for when the butterfly charges up when resting there (PS. When it does that, it's replenishing it's health) because it does a small blast afterward--it's easy to avoid though. ...Which reminds me, look out for his laser thing when he's flying... It was a bitch with me.
As for the bird's nest; curling up in it will allow it to mistake you as an egg of its (or something like that? Lol) and it will eventually pick you up, and fly you back to the Asylum from the tutorial. I have yet to do this myself, but my friend did it just today. Apparently you fight the guy who gave you the flasks at the start of the game, and he has a nice shield to give you after beating him. Oh, and there's also another demon boss there.
I just beat Sif, and Gaping Dragon tonight. Thinking about where to go next. Might go to the Ruins under the Firelink Shrine, since I
really want to see the boss there... But Iono.
(The battle against Sif was freaking intense for me, haha. I was down to just a sliver of health, with no flasks left, and my stamina was at its edge, but I did it! Woo~)
