Dawn of War III

So Relic says the sequel to the awesome Dawn of War series is in the works. What do you guys expect of this game? I want fully customisable armies, banner, colours, special units, everything. It's just so wrong to see Black Templars using librarians.

I want it to be a combination of Dawn of War and Dawn of War II. Squad micromanagement, a slightly more personal scope, and customization... only to then zoom out and it's a part of a massive freaking war. Dawn of War II was pretty fun, but it never felt like it was a war. It just felt like a series of skirmishes. Good enough for what it was, sure, but not good enough for Warhammer. Even Space Marine felt more large-scale than DoWII, and it only had a squad of THREE Space Marines! How is that even possible.

So yes. I expect this game to be the best of all the series has had, both the original and sequel, combined with whatever new it is on Relic's mind. Though, if I had to choose between this and the 40k MMO they're supposedly working on, I'd go with the MMO. I know what 40k feels like as a strategy game... I know what it feels like to customize units and armies. It's the source material! What I don't know is how the fluff plays. So the MMO would really be quite unique then, in terms of gameplay and race interaction and what have you. DoWIII would be another Warhammer RTS. Seen it...!

Yeah I bet the MMO is gonna be awesome. I heard they postponed it to 2014 though. And it obiously is gonna be pay to play. Argh. Guess good things are never free. Except Fakku of course.

Personally i prefer the original, the battles where larger scale, and it had more units. Number 2, I like the commander better, and the leveling system.

With number 3 they are making the armies bigger, so huge ass battles galore. It will be glorious, watching my custom black space marines with pink kitty logos, fight off wave after wave of heretic scum.

I prefer smaller battles, but I wouldn't mind seeing the Tau make their return or squats, or even Necrons, just to add more flavor. One thing I think Relic did well in DoW2 is campaign, I loved playing that thing, so heres to hoping single player is epic.

I want something else from Relic, another Homeworld.

OT: Even though the release date is quite far it's still going to be pretty dope.

In my head, I'm picturing Dawn of War I battles with Dawn of War II mechanics, maybe with some things closer to codex.

Hell, just gimme Angry Marines and watch in awe as I ass-rape (literally and figuratively) every friggin xenos and heretic scum in the whole galaxy. Especially the furry faggotry of Slaanesh. ALWAYS ANGRY!!! ALL THE TIME!!!

But seriously, Game play like DOW 1 with DOW 2 factions is just too great.

Sadly the final product of Space Marine didn't come out like what we saw in the trailer, it was still a fun game.

I'm still picturing how amazing it would be to be playing DoW I with DoW II mechanics.
