I love DQ in general (see the link in my sig) and I'm really, really looking forward to DQIX. Naturally, I'm looking forward to DQX but I don't really relish the thought that it's on the Wii; the console with the lowest attach rate and with the lowest average game score AND the shortest time between a game being released and the game ending up in the bargain bins. Still, whatever the general games are like on the Wii, I'm sure that a DQ game will end up being a great game to play.
I agree with you on the Wii woes. I wish it was to be on the 360, and not being a very big portable gamer, I must say that Enix's plans to release IX on the DS left a bad taste in my mouth. The spinoffs' really disappointed me while waiting for IX, then I hear its' to be on a portable, and that just bummed me out. Its' just, they had a few spinoffs, and you'd think that could suffice for the portables. There are so many things that impressed me about DQ8 as an RPG enthusiast. I started with 8 [commercials really got me] and I'm trying to get some of the older ones, but I was still really excited for the next title. Now that they are releasing another official [numbered] DQ, I have calmed down, so the whole Wii thing doesn't sting as much. I think the PS3 and the 360 could take cellshading so much farther than the Wii could with the current engines we posess in today's market. Well, here's to hoping that the Wii does well for DQX :D
