Sounds good to me. I'm sure lots of games have done something like this if I'm not mistaken.I too found it quite weird how the played character has the ability to regenerate health and such so the idea of Medkits to replenish health sounds more logical to me...then again, it is a video game so not being logical sometimes adds to the fun.
Personally seeing as it's a Duke Nukem game, I'd say that they would either go with your Six-pack beer idea or even go as far as "regenerate health by banging some babes".
You never know right?
