[English][MU] Men at Work 2

Alright I'm one of the many who can't get the game working. First and foremost I tried the setup...you can guess how that one went. Moving along, I read through the first post about installing problems etc etc and thus went here.

I followed the instructions of an alternative way to set-up the games, unpacking the data, making all the folders, and then running the translation patch. So I go through the steps, and re-route it to where MAW2 is; however it consistently says that it cannot find the japanese version, please blah blah blah.

Frankly I'm stumped...but part of that could be that its 2:30am...

EDIT: Ok so I followed part of what the guy above me said and renamed !2~1.msi. Doing that got the setup working and installed the game properly; but I still can't get the patch working. Same error is the other way, says it can't find the "Japanese Disc", blah blah blah.



Thus, again, I'm stumped as for what to do...

EDIT2: Just to confirm that I've tried just about everything I've seen in this thread, I have tried running it in compatibility mode, and I tried re-extracting it with 7-Zip. Nadda, nothing, bubbkiss. -.-

I got that working somehow, guess I will try to help you on that one.
Just to confirm, you mount the game image file with daemon tools right? If you do that, all you have to do is point the english patch to the virtual drive you chose for the mounted discs.
If you don't solve it yet, pm me, and I will try more stuff.

I saw no need to use a program such as Daemon Tools considering there is no img file...least not one that I can see. Downloaded, unpacked, and it was already all there with the Setup Files. Technically if you unpack Data 1 or Data 11 the game itself is right there...

The top half shows what I got right after unpacking. The bottom half is setting things up following the instructions from that one post and unpacking Data 11.



So clearly I'm either missing something, blind (both very very possible.) or maybe you downloaded from somewhere else? (<- Note that's not an insinuation, its actually a question.)

I think I downloaded it here and didn't manage to install it properly, so I downloaded it somewhere else (a torrent I think) where I got a image file (Most of games that people just do a copy and paste in the installation folder and rar it for the other people, don't work in my computer, so I try always to get the image file)

btw try installing the game using "!2 ~1" .

Tried that, just gives a bunch of error messages in Japanese. I'll try downloading the game from a different location (I don't know why I didn't think to do that sooner...), match it with the patch, and see if that works.

i can play the fame in japanese but can install the eng patch.

(could not find the place with the org japanese disk it says)

i have tried everything in the posts but it wont let me install it, have tried all the folders i got for the download.

umm hate to ask but instal details please? I see 2 installers but they do nothing and the english patch requires the cd but no cd files in there
p.s. I used 7-zip is tthat whats wrong?

I actually never got around to installing it myself. There is a link to instructions provided in the first post, though.

I tried both of the explainations but the patch keeps asking for the japanese cd no matter what I try

Don't know why, but the name of the msi file in your download got shortened, and setup.exe wasn't able to locate it. In short, unable to install.
If someone else have this problem, the correct name is "メンアットワーク！２　ハンターアカデミーへようこそ.msi"
