Fakku's Gaming Crew - Event 3!

But well, it's kind of obvious, isn't it? By no means I'm trying to offend you or anything, the willpower you show when trying to organize those events is great, but if you're trying to get some FAKKU intern games going a straight "Let's play some L4D right now" @ steam group sounds, in my opinion, better than "Let's play some L4D in two months.". At least that way you'd get a straight yes or no right away and don't need to deal with people signing but not showing up, screwing other people who actually took their time since they don't like being assholes.

And, well, those long signing up phases resulted in way too forced games in the earlier events. Last time, we basically played only one game of L4D, one team being steamrolled by the other due to slight versus balancing problems (Known tank spawn positions, for example) without giving the other team a way to pay it back since everyone quickly scattered again afterwards, so we basically gathered a smaller team after the "official" event and had some more "willing" gaming going on since we were like "This can't be it.". Gaming is pretty much supposed to be spontaneous when someone's feeling like it, so all those problems with the event aren't a surprise. When someone gives me a call asking me if I'd like to come over for tea in two months I'd be asking them if they're making fun of me or something.

Your speaking the truth Nacho. Its more of a thing that should happen randomly one day. While the steam thing is good, IRC imo is the better place to get games started (there's alot more people there anyway). I play with people from Fakku has much as I can.

While this is the ''Event'' I don't see why you guys can't just start a game right now. You see whose willing to play what in the front page. If i could get Jake & Klown i would be : You bitches, SC, lets go. It's like: ''Hey i'm just going to stand here, look at the people who can play XX game and wait''. Yesturday i asked Kenpachi if he wanted to play Dota and we did, it was the same with you Nacho, we played so many fucking L4D games. Like i'm trying to get people interrested to play game with the fakku community, but its somewhat annoying to try to manage every single person to get people to play you know.

Its like when Klown did the Starcraft topic, so many people were like '' Good idea lets do it!'' but everyone just rolled their thumbs ( beside Klown)

People talk about games in this forums, many who are multiplayers, but so many of them just post and leave. I'm trying to get a better sub-group within fakku which we'll talk about games, play them together and laugh about the cool / funny stuff that happen.

Why do you think ''My Brute'' and ''Left 4 Dead''topics are so popular? Because these are the 2 games that we are all playing together has a community. If we can get more people to play more games together, this section could get so much more interesting!

150+ post limit, guess I'm screwed huh? I haven't been able to play in the past events due to some things happening (college) and I'm only limited to WC and SC for the pc. But if you guys are setting something up and if I can be there, I'll try to be there. Even though this is a porn site I actually really want to be more involved with everyone in the community. I guess I should be more active in the IRC since that is where you all seem to be now and are talking about.

To be at the event you need 150 post. But to play with other people just pop in IRC or contact people who are looking to play a game :) But i will admit, its alot easier to get people to play with you when your a little bit more known to the community ^-^;

Yeah, I'll have to work on that, plus I've never used the IRC before, so I hope I can figure it out. From what it looks like it seems to be like an instant messenger. And since the event I'd participate in is in 1 month and a half maybe I can just post 100 times before then lol, they won't be spam posts of course. But it'll be hard since I don't have much to post about.

i like dota but i like left4dead even more,i always play at garena i dint know if you all playing at garena

Umm I don't think we should compare dota to L4D as they're totally different. I love L4D too but right now im busy with dota. We can really coordinate against other players in this game.

But onces the game reaches a certain point, if the team are both doing good. It's all about hero selection, which kinda is annoying.

this is where a certain planning on hero choice is needed, i like the team to be one disabler, one chaser, one stunner, one skill user, and one stealth

Well, of the available options the choice wasn't too hard for me since I only have 2 of those games: Starcraft and Warcraft 3.

Out of those 2, I love the storyline in starcraft but I can't play that game online FOR SHIT LOL. I get owned, pwned and so fourth by just about everyone. As for warcraft 3, I have a win/loss of about 50% ( like almost anybody else that plays it lol) so yea, warcraft 3 for me

If you read the first post, there's no WC3, its dota.

Left for Dead for me

Earlier this today Onime-no-Enishi, Bamass123 and me tried out some SC, just to see if we could get it going, and after we switched from Hamchi to Garena things started to work out.

We played one free-for-all match, and here's the result:

@KloWn: I'm assuming Onime-no-Enishi and Bamass123 went at it and OnE lost, and you went in to wipe Bamass123 out with your macro advantage. At least that's what I'm guessing from the stats and a 3-way free-for-all.

Nah, i took 'em both out, but everyone was pretty much equally strong tbh.

Hey I've been wondering because I've seen people talking about garena or hamachi what are they supposed to be some other form of bnet? or are they programs that just allow you to play on bnet?

GArena is another server provider you can play dota on like Bnet. Same goes for Hamachi except Hamachi servers are basically only for people who illegally downloaded WC3.
