Favorite Grandia Game?

What is your favorite Grandia game of all time? Mine is Grandia 2.

As you probably noticed, my favorite is the first of the series. The Grandia II is a close second.

I just had to rep you for saying that, Grandia one was the reason I got into the series, full of lively characters, great battle system and an epic story that I'll never forget as an RPG fan. Part 2's story was pretty dark for a game series of its kind, but I still loved it. I could ignore part 3 because it kinda fell apart due to its very linear play and some predictable story elements, but it was still alright. I managed to beat all of them except for Extreme because I haven't played it yet and Grandia was still the hardest due to the last boss being such a pain unless you learned Feena's ultimate spell which makes things a bit easier. I just wish we can see a next get Grandia eventually.

After playing 3, I felt as though the series should stop there since they obviously can't do any better than the first two. The game was okay, but I had trouble staying motivated to play. Even extreme kept me playing despite the mediocre story. I eventually beat 3, but it took me awhile as I just couldn't get attached to it.

Grandia II, Xtreme is not far off going second *dat music kept me entertained non-stop and i liked the echo effect on voices*

I wholly agree with that, Grandia 3 and Extreme just couldn't hold a candle compared to the first two in terms of story, that's how much I felt when I went through Grandia 3. It was just in set in a'too happy' story setting compared to the more 'twisted and sad' moments the first two had. I was also a fan of the romances in the Grandia series, but the Grandia 3 main pairings of Yuki x Alfina really didn't draw me in as much as the Justin x Feena, Mullen x Leen (Grandia 1) and Ryudo x Elena, Ryudo x Millenia and Roan x Tio (Grandia 2) pairings did.
