So, I'm wondering how many amoung us are gamers and how serious of one, Me? I couldn't live with out them, I own over 500 games and about 26 consoles, Everything from the Atari 2600 to the Dreamcast to the PS3 and the Xbox 360, I also waste my money collecting games and game accessories. Please share.
Professional? Care to elaborate? And yeah, I enjoy games, to be honest, Games, women and martial arts are the only things that excite me anymore. FPS are all the same, It's the same gameplay being used over and over again, sometimes a great one comes out, RPGS and RTS are my cup of tea.
i played games too. starting back with the the super nientendo the from psone to ps2 to xbox 360 also psp gameboy
i play games for fun even more fun when you play with freinds and family on XBL
im not does pro gamer people (who cares if you are #1 in halo its not gonna get you laid) games are fun but most people lets it take over there lives

I'm a really big FF fan, own every single one, but 13 was a dissapoint, I mean, the chicks are HOT, and the aussie accents are really bad, now hear me out, The storyline is great, the fighting is great, The grid thing is good, But, there are no side-quests, the Storyline progression sucks, You go somewhere, fight a boss and repeat, it's boring. And games have affected my life majorly, But I still go out, I do martial art training every week, have done so for the last 3 years.
I consider myself a gamer but I'm a rather cheap one. Most of the games I owned that I beat or just got bored of I sold on some classified then I go buy more games. I'd probably have more games in my collection had I not sold them.
RPGs like FF are keepers though. I usually get rid of titles like MW, MW2 etc. a few months after I'm done playing it. I don't get into FPS unless my friends play.
nintendo, sega, snes, n64, psone, gamegear, gameboy, gameboy color, gba, xbox, 360, and most importantly,
PS2 AND PSP (hacked)
I love games, rpgs, action, whatever. It doesnt really dominate my life... well, okay, it does. but its not the only thing I enjoy doing. Ill really play to enjoy everything. but when it comes to rpgs, sweet jesus, I become the completionist bastard. Right now im playing persona 4 and leveling the first persona up to level 99. Very hard.
And on the topic of "professional gaming", only fighting games should really be played like that. 'nuff said.
Holy crap man!!! Over 500 games and 26 consoles...daaaanng. Not ridiculing you or anything but you must have quite a collection, all the classics from the past to present no doubt.
I, however, only own one console, PS3. I recently sold my Wii since I rarely touched it and my friends bring it over all the time anyway. As for the amount of games...no more than 10 console games at one given time. I like to sell my games so I can buy new games. I only play games that are rated 8.5 or above from Gamespot however Armored Core and Naruto Clash are the only exceptions. I usually play about 2-6 hrs of games a day depending on the day.
im a noob to gaming relatively speaking. started with n64 but grew addicted pretty quickly. dropped off a little bit during the last gen as i went through high school, but in recent years ive picked back up again in full force. got all three current gen consoles, with a total of like 40 disk based games and dozens of downloadable games between them and growing. plus i recently got a gaming pc which i have 7 disk based games and about a dozen steam games for. so yeah im definitely a pretty "hardcore" gamer i guess. though im not super competitive, i play for fun and exscapism, not challenge and therefor usually only play single player on easy/normal difficulty. when i play multiplayer its purely for the social aspect. im also not a big trophy/achievement whore. i kidna collect them a bit but i dont go out of my way to get all of them. im also not one of those silly fanboys in the slightest. i love all my consoles. well, to be honest i dont like wii very much. it kinda just gathers dust. but there are occasional gems which make me glad i own it. but as for the whole xbox vs ps3 crap, i think its just a waste of time. both consoles are wonderful and im very very happy i own both and dont have to pick sides. that said, i appreciate my ps3 a bit more because it doubles as a bluray player. but for purely gaming, my xbox gets a bit more use. so its balanced out i guess. as for handhelds though, im not real big on that. i had a ds for a little while but the only game i ever got for it was pokemon, and i grew bored of that. so i sold my ds. also owned a psp for a while but i just never used it. i dotn get out much and when i do the last thing i wanna do is play video games. and when im home, id much rather play a console games then a hand held. so yeah... console gamer for life i guess.
I'm a hardcore gamer via online. But I got collection of consoles too. And I'm playing it when I'm too bored on online games. I don't need to go out just to have fun. Cause all I need is here in my room :P And my friends love to hang out here cause of my collection and free food. And I do spend a lot of money on games.
