@Akaoni: Now this list is what I'd call old. Good choices. My favorites from your list are Streets of Rage, and Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition.
I haven't played any of those and I think you could have dug deeper to get more worthy "classics".
I have heard of them all though but I don't highly regard them.
Ah Fable, good times with that game. Killing countless guards and villagers to become ultimate evil, then killing all kinds of evil enemies to become ultimate good.
I guess I could've dug deeper. During around that time was when I was getting into video games though so I guess they're classics to me in my own perspective.
I don't hold any of those games in particularly high regard.
So, I'll add my own. The Seiken Densetsu (Mana) games. Particularly Final Fantasy Adventure/Sword of Mana, Secret of Mana (Seiken Densetsu 2), Seiken Densetsu 3 and Legend of Mana. Those games are classics. Too bad the Mana series has gone through the ringer and has pretty much released utter garbage since the early 2000s.
I haven't played Blood Omen or Sly Cooper, the rest are good though. Jak & Daxter feels the oldest, probably because I only ever played it at the time. But talking of moderately old games, I haven't played Timesplitters 1 and 2 in waaaay too long.
I just chose Fable I guess, it was a pretty good game.
But I made a list of games that would really make me feel nostalgic;
Streets of Rage, Streets of Rage 2, Streets of Rage 3, Sonic, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic&Knuckles, Super Mario Bros 1/2/3, Super Mario World, Final Fight, Street Fighter 2, Super Street Fighter 2, Megaman 1-8, Megaman X 1-6, Final Fantasy (actually playing the PSP version for nostalgia), Final Fantasy III (SNES), Final Fantasy IV (Cant wait for FFIV CC), Final Fantasy VII, Chrono Trigger, Legend of Zelda (NES), Legend of Zelda II (NES), Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Gameboy), Legend of Zelda: A link to the past (SNES), Double Dragon 1/2/3 (NES), Super Double Dragon (SNES), Battletoads&Double Dragon (SNES), Yoshi's Island; Super Mario World 2 (SNES), the list goes on...
That shit ain't that old...
For me it would probably be Lucas Arts SCUMM games such as Days of the Tentacle and Red Alert 1. Takes me back to my childhood days.
