This is probably one of the sweetest things I've ever had happen to me as a gamer.

So there was this game called Hardware: Shipbreakers, I found out some of the original people who created Homeworld were working on the project. I ended up buying a $100 prospector package to ensure I got into the alpha/beta along with some other neat benefits. Gearbox gave Blackbird Interactive the I.P. for Homeworld, along with millions of dollars in funding to make it a true successor. They no longer needed the few thousand dollars the prospectors had given them to continue on, so they decided to refund us, but that's not all. Not only do we get the game for free along with ensured access to alpha and beta testing, but any future benefits they can think of.
