Inverted VS normal controls is a long running debate, and a very valid one too. But how do you play?
Inverted controls: gives you a little more sense of immersion (Since you pull back to look up, and vice versa), and is more natural for plain/jet games. Normal controls: makes more sense from a "just playing a game" prospective (push up to go up).
Poll: Let's say you're playing a first person game, do you play inverted? What control set-up do you usually default to games?
Do you play inverted, or normal?
I play my games with Normal Controls, I know a few people that play Inverted and when we switch off controllers its a hassle. I tried playing it once but I just couldnt do it.
Normal has always felt natural to me even when using a controller to steer aircraft in games.
The only exception is when using joysticks it is impossible to play normal with joysticks for me.
I use inverted for third-person games and normal for first-person games. However, since I play third-person games a lot more than first-person games, I chose inverted.
I mostly play RPGs, action RPGs, strategy (RTS & TBS) and some FPS games on PC and I use normal almost exclusively. However, I can't stand normal controls when controlling aircraft (assuming it's realistic flight, not up-down-left-right on a 2D plane), so I guess it depends on the game.
