KotoR Goes MMO

thats right the greatest starwars games ever are goin MMO

Bioware(Greatest RPG maker ever) has once again teamed up with Lucas Arts to bring us Star Wars: The Old Republic, an MMO set a few centuries after KotoR 2.

There will be heavy basis on story, so each choice made will affect your toon permanently, and you will also be able to choose from a variety of npc companions each with their own unique backstory.

There will of course be the standard jedi/sith classes but as of yet no classes have been officially announced (rumours of diplomat/bounty hunter classes)

Personally i am interested to see how well they can develop individual story for an mmo, if they manage to pull off the heavy focus on story choices as well as keep the mmo feel, then i believe that the game could be the leader of the next generation of MMO's.

Yes i know it was announced a month or two ago but with no post about it here i figured id throw one up for anyone who hasnt heard about it yet :D

There wasn't a thread about this already? Wow. Well I for one am definitely going to play (minus unforeseeable circumstances) as they're making an effort to make story an important part of the game.

yeah if they can integrate the story choices into the game it should turn out extremely well, would also make having alts more entertaining than other games, because theyd have a different story
