If the files are rared then they should all be getting hashed when they're extracted. I don't see how you could extract corrupt files unless they were corrupt when they were compressed in the first place.

Beats me, i just know that when 2009 started people started to complain about corrupt rar-files in alot of my threads, and they worked fine before that.
I've talked to some people and they don't seem to have that problem though, but like i said, alot of these complains came from threads where people hadn't had any problems with 'em before, and then all of a sudden they didn't seem to work for anyone.

I downloaded this maybe two weeks ago and they extracted and installed just fine. Just mount the files then after everything is mounted and it's installed add the crack to disable the V-Mate registry.

Unless they've been corrupted after I downloaded them.

I dunno how it is with this one, but other games like Heart De Roommate and more seem to have gone corrupt.

Or atleast it's what i hear in the threads, if they really are corrupt or if the problem lies with the nubs trying to extract it i do not know, but still, the amount of complaining that started after 2009 began, and at pretty much the same time, indicates that something is fucked up.

Perhaps it would be worth putting up crc32 or an sfv with them to verify the downloads?

Well Elfen has told me that this is his first game that he has tried to install. So yah it may just be that he's a noob at it.

As for after 2009 thing IDK all your files extract just fine for me and install no problem. I just installed FSN yesterday voice pack and all so no problems there.

I don't see how megaupload itself would corrupt your files considering they'd have to have a mod do it or make a bot or some script to fuck up things from your IP or something along those lines. I don't think there willing to put the time and money into it. Then again it might be the fucking flaggers here telling megaupload to corrupt your files.

Could you do me a favor and download Heart De roommate and see if you can get it going?

Sure no problem. Also about the crc32 I just googled it and it looks fucking complicated.

Basically you use a program like Quicksfv (which I haven't used but looks ok) and it'll create a hash, which is basically a fingerprint of the files. If the files are corrupted during downloading then the hash will change when the files are checked by the downloader. It's an easy way to verify that the files are intact. If you download anime then you may have noticed a series of letters and numbers in brackets, those are usually crc32 hash codes to verify that the download is not corrupted. SFV files are just text files containing crc32 codes for all the files in a directory so that when they're opened the program knows to verify all those downloads. It looks like the quicksfv program integrates into the explorer shell so you just have to open the sfv file to check the download and you can create an sfv by highlighting the files, right clicking, and selecting to create sfv.

I was able to download and install it lastnight, it might just be that either the install didn't go right for him, or the download was corrupted during transfer.

It might also have something to do with the version of Daemon Tools he's using. And it might just be bad luck :P in any case it worked for me so just try again. They're smallish downloads anyway so it shouldn't be too bad.

Corrupted files won't even unrar will they? All the files I've had that were corrupted winrar informed me and said it can't unrar it. I'm still gonna go with he's just not doing it right sense this is his first game.

thats the one anime winrar said it couldn't unrar some files due to them being corrupt

but i do know what i am doing as long as it runs daemon tools and i don't have to mess with unicode or W/E

If they won't unrar then the files are corrupt and there's nothing you can do till they're reuploaded. You could try redownloading them but as Klown has said megaupload is corrupting his files. So it probably won't work

well, how I got mine to work is a mystery then. IMO the uploads are fine, you just gotta redownload them and try again, that or my computer is a god among PCs :P

if it's winrar saying the files are corrupt and unable to unrar them... maybe install the latest ver of winrar too, redownload the files, and try again.

asking someone, that works so hard to provide us with such a volume of games, to reupload his files should come last. that's still only my opinion though...

I've noticed some download managers and even firefox can end downloads early cutting off part of the file. This may be what's happening here.

can i just use dameon tools to mount this?
