If this game will be balanced to the point that you can choose any character combo and still win against anyone, i might just get this.
The fact that MARVEL cast was dominating everything in MvC2 was such a let down for me *when i downloaded it from PSN and tried it for the first time in my life*. What if i wanted to choose Roll or Felicia, that basically felt like i'm being treated as Noob by default and this is not acceptable for a fighting game imo, why implement characters if they aren't playable. And the championships? Bullsh*t assist spam no fighting required. When i play fighting games i want to fight, not use some cheap tricks to win. That's how i see this amazing peace of art.
P.S. I can already imagine some cr*pload of negative responces from fanboys.
Fanboys will probably bitch you out, but real fans will understand what you're talking about.
It's true, MvC2 was ridiculously broken. More than half the roster was unusable in a serious game, which is my main gripe with the game. It's funny, because most Capcom characters don't play the way they need to be in a game like MvC2. Their movement speed was slow and their move-set was limited. They played like they were in Street Fighter, but with more moves.
However, when people bitch about infinites, I just laugh. They have no idea the skill it takes to get it to work. Any type of screw-up will mess it up with ease. The timing has to be absolutely perfect.
Also, you're wrong about assist spammming in championship games. Though assists are used quite a bit, they're also used strategically. One mess-up and you can easily get your assist character killed. The game may not seem like it, but it's actually quite balanced in tournament play. And since most people use the same characters, it shows who has more skill. No whining about tiers. Just who is better.
