WHY DID YOU MAKE THIS THREADDDDD
it seems that onime-no-enishi is the only one comparable to my monster hunter prowess. ive clocked in over 500 hours in monster hunter 2nd g and needless to say ive beaten the best. my favorite combination of armor and weapon is the ultimate eradicator and silver rathalos g armor. untill you've killed a white fatalis g you cant truly consider yourself a monster hunter! ucambulus was way to easy :(
im sorry for being so arrogant but this is the only game where i know my skills excel lol. you should find some friends to play with onime! makes things sooo much easier.
heh, my favourite at the moment would be Diablos King Blade with True Golden armor set (G rank rajang). I can pretty much use any weapon but i just find greatswords fun atm especially when doing triple charge times to stop wyverns charging at you ;O always a satisfying "oomph" feeling whenever you do that xD
Anyway, I cant really find many who are willing to play MH =/ back in Msia i had a few friends that i can play with (but im mostly in UK), and here in UK, its like NONE @_@ barely anyone even knows what monster hunter is.
Uca is easy indeed, but thanks to his TONS of hp, it really limits you to what weapon/armor set you can use against him IF you are soloing =/ coz 18,000 HP without factoring in damage reduction from armor is no small sum.
I actually find white fatalis easy (the downloaded one was harder imho [g rank], since im soloing it really takes me all the way down the the last 5 minutes to kill it and thats exhausting all Lg Barrel Bomb+'s and i was using a gunlance to get through his stupid armor mode too.
You should try the downloaded dual golden rajang quest in the great arena ;P now that one is HARD! Ive never tried it with friends before, but soloing it took me about 2-3 days of attempts til i finally beat it.... once... and im never touching that mission ever again >>; JUMP Teostra is like kitten compared to this mission.

AAh dragon that camouflages? Im guessing you are meaning Chameleos! IMHO he is the easiest out of all the elder dragons to farm if you know how to ;D and im gonna tell you how =D
You will want to use dual swords against the chameleos, UNLESS you are aiming to get his horn... which isnt important because just by cutting out the tail, you can already see him and you can still carve chameleos horns out of its corpse (or was it quest reward?) either way, chameleos is the only elder dragon where his horn isnt important.
Firstly, if you are not worried about letting him run, then dont bother about the armor set and skip to the next section:
For your armor sets, you will want armors that give you any one or more of these buffs:
- Sharp Sword (Reduces weapon blunt speed by 1/2)
- Reckless Abandon (%age chance of increasing damage dealt by x1.25)
- Attack Up (Increases damage done)
- ESP (Your weapons never bounce off a wyvern's scale)
OPTIONAL: (not necessary but if you have that extra few slots, you might want to opt for these)
- Auto Tracker (So you dont have to paintball him... not that necessary but its good if you keep forgetting to paintball it everytime you see it)
- Dragon Wind Breaker (Just to negate his tail flap)
- Anti Theft (Prevent him from stealing your potions... MOST ESPECIALLY your power juices)
- Fatigue (Prevents Fatigue Status Effect)
- Poison (Prevents Poison Status Effect... the only one that might be truly useful out of all the status effect prevention armor skills).
Rundown on how to kill it:
Dual swords:
It's really easy, just run around and let it see you and you get the wyvern eye, thats when you know its in the same map. Just keep walking around til you run to an invisible wall, or it actually attacks you. Once you know or can guess where he is, throw a paintball at it, and remember where he is (Sound is a VERY important factor at determining his position).
Once done, drink a megajuice, demonize and run to it's right hind foot (your left). And demon dance everytime it does an attack. It will turn to you after every attack, so keep chasing that right hind foot and demon dancing until he falls over, then keep hitting at his legs. If you have done your controlling well, you can actually make him repeatedly fall over, over and over again til hes dead, but thats hard to accomplish and you dont necessarily have to do that. Just repeat this strat, and sharpen when he falls over when your weapon gets blunt and rinse and repeat. When you think you have done about 25% of his hp in damage (you will only be able to make a guess when you have killed it at least once), when it falls over, go for the tail. Once the tail is chopped off, it will glisten in the light, making it visible even if it is camouflaged.
Things to take note of:
- When he is camouflaged, his armor is ALOT higher, but dont let it bother you, attack anyway. Without ESP or demonize, you will bounce off him ALOT unless you hit the head.
- DO NOT stay under his tail. Sometimes he flaps his tail and then does a tongue attack, and if you are under his tail, the flap will do TONS of damage, but if you are beside it, it will blow you away (not much of a threat unless it is the last flap and it blows you infront of him). Whenever he tail flaps, stay on his rear half and keep your distance so the tail doesnt blow you... it gets annoying.
- do not try to stay far from him, his specialty is ranged attacks, his tongue whips will almost always get you if you are in front of him and if you are too far, his charge is PAINFUL! He also has a breath and an acid spit attack. Breath attack gives you the fatigue status effect (which reduces your stamina to 1, and it cannot be increaased until the status wears out) and the acid spit reduces your armor by 1/2, making you take twice damage. These 2 attacks are VERY easily avoidable and i find his breath attack to be a VERY big opening.
- if you are near him, dont go right in front of him, he can claw swipe you out into range then tongue whip or charge at you... fatal if you have bad armor.
- Watch out for his Poison attack! You can tell from his tell tale snickering? no idea what you call his "call", but he ocassionally jumps up and spews poison downwards while his wings flap to spread the poison. Drink your antitode right away if you do not have the poison armor skill. but You can avoid it with experience. Just dont go back in too early too, he blows you away when he lands and if you are in front of him, prepare to feel alot of pain.
I would give tips for longswords too but i think this post is too long already >>; tell me if you want longsword tips in case you do not wanna make a dual sword set just for this fight...
Also, The best dual swords for chameleos are the fire elemental ones, Corpse Rippers ;O go make em (the rathalos/rathian ones).
