Its weird, I spent all day helping some guy farm Los+ so he could make the gunner+ armor, first there were three of us, took down the first Los in under 8 mins. Then the third left. Two more guys showed up, we hunted Los for hours nonstop, we were basically the ultimate team together. Then those two left and another two took their place, we started failing hunts after that...I wonder why.
-You guys have to help each other out during quests. If theyre being cheap on lifepowders and traps, then surely your team will have a tough time. Then if you have a teammate that uses upswings like theres no tomorrow, that slows down the hunt. I've been in a GS run where we were all in sync down the the charge releases. Our hunt would end very quickly with minimum casualties.
-Though, in my opinion, the best group is the one who has a gunner and 3 users of the same type of weapon. Why? For example, LS users kill lancers and interrupt them like every second, lancers (noobish) tends to charge and hit a charging GS user. The gunner then has to be able to shoot para shots and have trap master. But dont rely on the gunner, for he/she can only have 4 traps at max. To successfully do a speed run cap on a monster at least 5-6 traps are need at constant placement and parashots here and there. A good Hammer that is able to stun a monster while in a pitfall trap is also very helpful.
I was using a SnS, Blood Tabar.
The third guy who was with us for the first hunt was using as GS or hammer, couldn't remember which, after the second hunt, he left.
The two who followed after for the next 5-10 Los hunts were very helpful, one with a GS, High Sieglinde (P) and the other was using a hammer, Devil's Crush (P). During all the hunts, the only mess ups were the GS user and myself rolling into the hammer's charged smash. Gunner was pulling his weight, though majority of the time the Los' kept targeting him.
Then those two left and two more took their place, a SA user and another GS/LS user. Sadly, the next three hunts ended with failure.
