Try changing the display settings to 16-bit. It worked for me =]

Parts 2 and 6 seem to be corrupted.I just downloaded from both of my links and they are fine. Something mightve happened when it finished downloading on your computer. Try redownloading those files and let me know what happens.

Yeah, did that, but third time seemed to be the charm. Working now, though changing my language on Windows 7 still escapes my grasp. Still getting the odd symbols instead of Japanese on the installation. Nothing having to do with you, and the uploads are much appreciated!

I love the game so far.. Spoiler:
I had this problem before too and setting your language unicode or using Appocale fixes it.
If you don't set it these events will crash the game:
-Talk to Thuna at graveyard.
-Date with Mei-Mei at beach
-When old-Roy introduce you to Roi
-After H-scene with Reggie

I've just tried downloading parts 2 and 6 about a dozen times each, but they are still corrupted and refuse to unrar correctly.

I used your mediafire links and i too got the corruption on parts 2 and 6.
Then i thought i could try and mix the mediafire with rapidshare (in most causes this does not work) and after downloading ONLY part 2 it worked fine along with the supposedly corrupted part 6.
