Anyone else played it? Its a total conversion mod for Oblivion, a whole 50+ hour game in itself set in its own world. I just finished the main questline and have to say it was fantastic. I was far more engrossed in it than I was with Skyrim last year let alone Oblivion. The environments were so well tailored and varied throughout. Highly recommended if you are a fan of open world games or the elderscrolls series. You won't be dissapointed. And tis free to install so long as you have Oblivion.
It has a few weak points: bugginess and the occasional crash (the oblivion engines fault) lack of npc interactive dialogue, the gameplay becoming a fair bit easier say 20 to 30 hours into the game and lack of extensive sidequest. But all around it is still quite the game.
For those curious, oblivion mods are usable with the conversion to an extent. You just have to change their master file to Nehrim.esm using Wyre Bash. Of course, Cyrodiil is not part of the game so mods that alter a specific area of Cyrodiil dont work.
The 2ch race mod collection worked for me (an essential for me since playing a vanilla female chara annoys me) and various other things like a hotkey mod, quarls texture pack, animation replacers and pose mods, drop lit torches, change type body etc. (I tend to screenshot my journies in these kinda games and enjoy posing my chara in various environments)
I've heard of people getting deadly combat and such to work as well but I didn't bother since I found the combat entertaining enough as was.
Anywho, rant end. http://www.nehrim.de/dataEV.html is the download link. Check it out if you're looking for something to immerse yourself in for 60 hours or so.
