Anyone getting this screen and not being able to click anything?
You did not let the patch.bat file run for long enough.
I double clicked the Patch.bat file and let it go. Command prompt came up for like 1.5 seconds and it was done.
It should take way longer than that. Did you put both the patch.bat and patch folder into the game folder?
Yes I did. The opening movie works just fine. it's just when I get to the select screen that it goes buggy.
Not sure if you're having the same problem as I am (although I had the same screen as you) some people had luck reinstalling the game and re-running the .bat file and by disabling their antivirus. None of this worked for me, but I did a little fooling around with the files and it finally worked for me.
Just a quote from a post I made earlier.

Alright, after fiddling around with a bunch of files, I've seemed to solve the problem. So hopefully this helps anyone that's still experiencing the problem I was.
Basically, installing the game would result in some extra files installed (with file names in moonspeak, see pic) even though I'm in japanese unicode mode (not applocale).
Although the screencap shows these weird files are in the アリス2ï¼ï¼‘ï¼ folder (Alice 2010), these files were also found in the ランスï¼ï¼’ folder (Rance 2). (So make sure your ランスï¼ï¼’ folder doesn't contain similar files from the above pic)
What I needed to do was delete my ランスï¼ï¼’ folder and copy the ランスï¼ï¼’ folder directly from the cd image file and place it where I deleted it. The original ランスï¼ï¼’ folder can be found in E:\GAMEDATA\ランスï¼ï¼’ depending on what you name your virtual drive. Then, just apply the patch as directed.
If you want to double check, the files that your ランスï¼ï¼’ folder (before the patch) should have looks like this
(Many thanks to JunMisugi for providing me with this screenshot).
