(AKA how do you get through the teleporting lever maze)The mirror will react if you walk over this one particular place in the maze. Then you just have to use the mirror. If I remember correctly it was somewhere pretty much in the top right of the screen.

It's SOP in the upload section, but not in the frontpage. And it's easy to check things if you have the internet.

I double clicked the Patch.bat file and let it go. Command prompt came up for like 1.5 seconds and it was done.

Yes I did. The opening movie works just fine. it's just when I get to the select screen that it goes buggy.
Not sure if you're having the same problem as I am (although I had the same screen as you) some people had luck reinstalling the game and re-running the .bat file and by disabling their antivirus. None of this worked for me, but I did a little fooling around with the files and it finally worked for me.

If you want to double check, the files that your ランスï¼ï¼’ folder (before the patch) should have looks like this

Words cannot express my gratitude towards the ones who have made Rance 02 playable in english for us.
I just finished the game, and I must say, I started the Rance series with "Sengoku Rance", at that time, I had no idea who Rance was, who all the characters were in Rance's world.But, from Rance 1, and now this game, different pieces of the puzzle are coming togheter.
From Sengoku Rance, I really couldn't understand what type of guy he was.Sometimes he had naughty and cruel actions, other times he was really kind and serious about his "Cute girls". He is my Number 1.# hero of all time.
I salute you, great ones who translated this, and Fakku, for all the technical help on installing Alicesoft 2010 and the english patch.The folks here are very helpful.

i also did all the installs by switching to jap local in Win7 including this fix here thanks a bunch for posting.

The only reason you have the incomprehensible file names is because at one time you downloaded something in japanese while in a english settings.

Why am I having so much goddamn trouble with this? I tried even that method but it keeps saying it cannot be deleted because it is open in another program. So I close all of the programs running it and yet still it reads out the try again error message.
Edit: Alright. I restarted my computer and deleted it and then reapplied the patch after deleting and copying the folder from the virtual drive. Still the same screen.

Do you also get the message after you restarted your pc? If it still doesn't work you could try to use the program unlocker http://download.cnet.com/Unlocker/3000-2248_4-10493998.html. I haven't used it before so I cannot judge whether it really works, but maybe it helps you out?
