We'll see... The problem will be the same as with the Wii - if you don't use the new features available to you, you'll get worse reviews from the press. So everyone will, of course, try to use them, no matter how well they can, just to avoid being called something even worse. Even when the game might actually be better with a more traditional style.
You know, I actually see more of the
"they shouldn't of implemented (insert feature here) if it was going to suck so bad" comments in reviews rather than the "it would have been better if (insert feature here) had been utilized (more)" (at least with the DS). You don't see too many DS reviews where people complain about how there was absolutely no touch screen. No one complains about how pretty much no one uses the microphone. I would dare say that even most DS games don't utilize the two screens to their fullest, yet very few complaints are levied against them (in that regard). There probably will be some complaints about games that don't utilize the 3D feature early on, but in the long run, such complaints will wind up being few and far between.
I agree with this, do not use a feature if you can't use it properly. Otherwise it's going to the shitter without a single of hope of seeing light or for this case a possitive review.
But I must say if companies would make games that don't use the new 3D feature it's like never making the console in the first place since we already have the DS for that. And I'm not sure fans would like the idea of having bought the same console twice just because the new one functions similar to their old one because its features are nerfed thanks to the games.
