I know Nintendo has been trying really hard, but their third party support has always been terrible. Things haven't changed. They released the 3DS without even a Mario game precisely because they wanted third party developers to not fear of Nintendo titles taking all the spotlight. Look how well that worked out them. If you buy a 3DS or a Wii U, you're getting it to play Nintendo titles. If you want to play titles for third party developers, you should just get the Vita and a PS3.

Too late. The iPhone alone beats the PSP and the DS plus together in units sold, number of games available and revenue of titles sold. That's not even including the iPod touch.
I do admit using my iPhone to play games more than my DS. That doesn't mean I'm not getting a 3DS though.
