That is fair and I am willing to wait. I think though, that cuts off the portion of the market that considers those "things" standard now. Like if you bought a car and it didn't have power steering because they are working on things to differentiate themselves.
I hesitate to use power steering as example, because for some, netflix might be more like 'powered windows'. But I feel most people feel that consoles have become media centers, vs game only centers (I certainly do). But like I said, it isn't like I'll never buy a Switch. I waited almost two years for the WiiU as well. Got a great bundle.
One thing I do hope Nintendo changes its mind on is backwards compatibility. With all the consoles having usb ports (which I assume the switch does), they could create a 'emulator' hardware device, that provides the hardware to read the game. This would allow people to buy whichever parts they need for their games (like if you have N64 games, but no Wii/GameCube/WiiU games.
Until recently, I didn't realize that not all Wii's could play GameCube discs... :(
