Nuzlocke Runs (Pokemon)

I'm currently running through Leafgreen. I just lost a Gyarados, and it's killing my soul.

I've lost 7 Pokemon in total, and I'm just now leaving the Pokemon Tower. Is that bad?

What is this, your first run? I wouldn't say bad, but it does severely limit the types of pokemon you can have. Unless you do some heavy grinding, going further can mean the end for you. @_@ don't worry though, my first run that I did on emerald, the 2nd battle you have with may killed all my pokes other than my main. I still made it through. Im actually also running a nuzlocke run on Black right now. I just got to the league.

EDIT: other than the main 3 rules, what other rules are you following?

Keep doing it, it will forge you a strong character, and turn you into a man.

remember this is an RPG, so grind like a motherfucker. I'd suggest you to go to options and turn off the attack effects if you haven't, it speeds up the pace of battles.

I've turned off Battle Scene ever since I was 7.

I'm "killing" all KO'd Pokemon, not capturing legendaries, ignoring the first-Pokemon-capture rule, not allowing more than one HM per Pokemon, not capturing any Pokemon I've ever captured before, (which isn't as hard as you might think; I'm normally quite formulaic) and not using any hold items except Cleanse Tag and Exp. Share (which I don't have yet.)

The first pokemon capture rule is one that is killing me on my Black run, I caught 4 minccinos already. Fuck. I follow all the other rules you posted other than the hold items for this run.
