Any Osu! players here? For those who don't know, it's a PC rhythm game. Doesn't require a beast PC, can play by yourself, with friends, and for me it's a really casual stress reliever.

Well here's my osu user page, I don't play as much as I map nowadays.

I really wanna learn how to map too, but I am too lazy lol

I used to play it a lot but due to school I had a break and never came back again D:

I normally do a couple hour long sessions a week after class. Not that good but I still love the game. I want to get a pen display to play, but I am too poor to afford that right now. Maybe once I get done with college and can afford to pay my own bills.

Anyone know any good beginner songs? kinda new and bad haha

If I remember right you should be able to choose difficulty on most songs so any song should be okay. Just choose the lvl with 1-3 stars and one with a rather slow BPM ^^ Most anime songs have an easy level. tbh I don't know any with beginner other than maybe the tutorial guide thingie when you play for the first time. Learn by trying~ xD

I only play OsuMania! my username on there is "Le Aai" so if you want to add me and feel like playing some mania send me a message on there whenever im on! which is quite often.

I tried many times in the past to get better at OsuMania! but never succeeded. Is practice really the only way or do you have small tips for beginners?

I'm not even sure what OsuMania is? Can you perhaps explain?

When you enter the Osu! client, you will see a "Mode" button on the bottom left corner right next to "Back" button. There are other Osu! modes besides the traditional one that most of us play. Osu! (traditional), OsuMania! (Piano kind of), Taiko (Rhythm drum), and Catch the Beat (You catch fruits falling from the sky).

Ah that reminds me a bit of Stepmania~ I only tried the traditional mode though. Maybe I should try the others too~ ^^)/ it looks like fun

Practice is the best way, if I had to give tips I'd say just don't focus too hard on improving your speed, that will happen as you play it long enough.

I'm just now transitioning to Hard difficulties and am having troubles getting A's and S ranks... ;-;

It just becomes second nature to you as you play so it's hard to get good at it right away, but if you have experience with other rhythm games then it should be no problem.

I should also note that there are beatmaps specifically for OsuMania and Catch the beat as well as Taiko.

Playing on the OsuMania beatmaps really helps you get get started.

Osu! is nearly impossible for me to play unless I set auto-pilot to move the mouse for me. I like to just focus on the rhythm itself. Do note that I'm not very good with the kind of games like Osu! where precision is key.

i played a ton of osu in all through my high school years, and was actually pretty good, but i havent played in a year or more, and i dont know if id be any good anymore
