[color=#006FFF]Atlus has been teasing their fans with a site that simply states
"http://p-atlus.jp/" with a yellow background for about a week now, causing a fair amount of speculation. (A lot of people thought it was P4P for the 3DS considering Atlus apparently stated a Persona game was going to be for the 3DS or something, Iono.)
Today they revealed that the next Persona game in the works is indeed Persona 4 Portable, for the Vita. The game is to be titled
Persona 4 The Golden and is due to be released Spring 2012 in Japan.
The port is due to have the following additions;
> A new character named Mary
> 1.5 times the voice of the PS2 version
> Wireless support for calling on others to help you when you're about to die in a dungeon.
> Other elements that fans of the original have heavily requested
> New opening anime with new song from Shouji Meguro
> New animation movies
[color=#006FFF]This is about it for the remake of Persona 4.
On a far more interesting/unexpected note, Atlus has also announced that they are teaming up with Arc System Work (the creators of BlazBlue) to make a Persona 4 fighting game, titled
Persona 4: The Ultimate In Mayonaka Arena that will take place 2 years after the events of Persona 4, featuring an all new story.
This will be on the PS360 after hitting arcades, Summer 2012.
The cast will be a combination of not just Persona 4's roster, but 3's as well. Fours of them have (apparently) been confirmed to be playable in
The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena: Yu Narukami (MC of P4), Yosuke Hanamura, Chie Satonaka, and Aigis.

[color=#006FFF]EDIT:
According to scans which some have apparently seen, exploration will be P3/P4-style, not P3P-style (with the blue/pink circle); and the NPCs will have their 3D character models as opposed to the style in which P3P had them (static 2D art).
