LOL damn, my psp phat actually got messed up after like 2 years of use. Analog got messed up like yours did, moves on its own and I couldnt move in certain directions. It got annoying. The square button got stucked alot as well, dont know how that happened though.

In the end I just sold it to a friend of mine for $40 bucks (he fixes and mods PSPs and other consoles so selling him a wornout PSP was like meh, he actually made it like new again lol) and bought a PSP slim. Which I use today.

Someone has to school these newbie gamers that not everything Nintendo related is casual, i might just make real gamers out of some of 'em.

The main reason DS is seen as a kids console/less hardcore console is because of the advertising campaigns, using stars that would appeal to kids, such as jedward, one direction, fern cotton. Then you have the advertisments for the older generation using terry wogan and the such. basically less hardcore gamers.

You can't label a system casual just because of a few dorky commercials... If that's the case then the first Zelda would be the most casual game ever.
The real gamers go where the games is, and that's the DS in this case.
Wii being the exception because it got WiiFit and all that shit. None of that on the DS, except maube Loco Roco, or wait...

LOL, you don't get it, my oppinion isn't that I belive it is a casual console, more that the perception that it is a casual console does exists. And one of the main reasons for that is the ad campaigns.
moreover I totally agree that alot of the cute looking games are really hardcore, such as zelda, pokemon, Harvest moon.
Its a very accesible console, for people who wasnt to play casually and others who are more hardcore. It tries to cater to everyone and this has put some people off.

Good god guys, I'm 19 and own both a DS and a PSP, and I like them both. DS=Crap ton of RPGs. PSP=Great graphics and a WAY better online games market. They both have pros and cons. :D
