yeah XD. hes like jiraya+alder is what i thought.
Alder! You're completely right, that's the other dude he reminded me of.
Speaking of Champions,
I still can't get over Champion Iris in B2W2. I mean, sure, I think it's cool and all, but Champion Drayden would have been more... intimidating? Yeah. Still, nothing's as intimidating as Cynthia's Platinum team, which is still the best Champion roster. I wonder if it'll change in Generation VI...?

just picked this game up, kinda felt really nerdy but still.
Got it on the 20th; had a cute girl cashier at Best Buy. No regret life.

I do wish the menu's where a bit easier to navigate though.
Indeed. I especially abhor item management because they separated it from obtaining information. Why can't I equip items on Pokémon by simply going into "info?" (Which shouldn't even be called that, it should be "Pokémon.") No, I have to go back and select the "equip" option. Not only that, having to move my cursor all over the damn world just to try and find the kingdom where the Warrior I'm looking for is stationed is a tedious navigation irritant that just shouldn't exist in a 2012 release. When I go into the menu and select info, there's simply no reason for it not to have an exhaustive list of all Warriors under my command. Also, why the hell is there
no information on the Pokémon (and barely anything about the Warriors, too) available when selecting items to equip? That'd kinda help me, y'know, decide what to equip in the first place.
Because the gameplay and ambition of the title are so stellar, these simple design flaws just grind my Klinklangs!
To end things on a good note, however, whoever drew the art for this game deserves a gold star; the Pokémon art is so pandering and charismatic. Also, "capturing" Pokémon is much less frustrating here than it can be at times in the main series, and having included the freedom to change between your Pokémon's available Abilities in exchange for some Gold is an interesting twist. Now I don't have to "catch" dozens of the same species just to get the Abillity I want. That always drives me up the wall in the main series. Oh, and don't even get me started on Natures, which, thankfully, we don't have to worry about here, either.
...Actually, screw that, include them next time, guys.

A Warrior can only get pokemon by linking with them, as they have no pokeballz. The link mechanic is what blocks the trading.
The idea is that once a Pokémon is retrieved from the wild, it's, well, not a wild Pokémon anymore, so while your explanation makes sense, we can get around it by thinking that if two Warriors want to exchange buddies, their Pokémon, although now link...less(?) will only be that way for the few seconds it takes for them to use their tiny Pokéfeet to walk thier asses over to their new partner.
If two Moblins in Ganondorfs army want to trade halberds, the weapons don't momentarily become no one's for the 3 seconds they aren't in anyone's hands as they're throwing each other their weapons. That's ridiculous.
