Clauses
Evasion Clause
Moves that boost evasion (i.e. Double Team and Minimize) are not allowed.
Freeze Clause
Two or more Pokémon on a team cannot be frozen at the same time.
Sleep Clause
Two or more Pokémon on a team cannot be asleep at the same time. Self-induce sleep via rest does not activate Sleep Clause.
OHKO Clause
One-Hit KO moves are not allowed. (e.g. Fissure, Guillotine)
Species Clause
Two or more of the same Pokémon may not be used on the same team.
Self KO Clause
If both players have only one Pokémon left, moves which KO both the user and the opponent are not allowed (e.g. Explosion, Destiony Bond). If recoil damage would cause a tie, Self KO Clause does not activate, and the player who last attacked is the winner.
Soul Dew Clause
The item Soul Dew cannot be held by any Pokemon.
Item Clause
All Pokémon on a team must hold different items. This is not a standard clause in competitive play, but it is used in Nintendo tournaments.
Of course, rules can be agreed upon by the trainers. Just some basics. Lol.
Agreed, And deoxys-S though weak, it can exploit alot of things with it's speed.
Also, i didnt list the freeze clause mainly because its near impossible to control >>; there isnt a real move that is dedicated to freeze, and you cannot control your ice beam to freeze someone. It would suck if you are banned from using ice beam the moment 1 pokemon on your opponent's side gets frozen.
and yes, i cant believe i left out the self-KO clause. And also i think the item clause is retarded but, whatever xD
