Will the game start up at all? Can you start a new game? Check to see if you can if you haven't cause it does go to a white screen for some people at a certain point. If you can start a new game you can just use a 100% save file to skip a page ahead of whatever part that is causing the problem.

no. its not even starting. i have encountered that problem yesterday. having white screen at a certain point. that's why i installed cccp. also tried klite. and yes, it worked. that's why its perfect yesterday. but this morning. after clicking the game icon. all i get is a white screen.

perhaps its something no one had before. unfortunately for me. to think its my first game. X( but still not giving up.

It would help if you give a screen shot of what settings that you have in Japanese. It's not that I don't think you can do it right, but this is your first game as you say, so we want to make sure. White screens are usually always related to settings not being in Japanese whither it be the format/non-unicode/locale etc.

the thing about installation directories... i seem to have heard somewhere that vista somehow makes life difficult for you if your installed directory is in c:\ : place it in program files

Well the settings are fine so here is another thing you can try. Find the .exe of the game, click it and then right click it and go to properties, then to compatibility. Check "Run in 256 colors" and then try and start the game. Also run the game as administrator.

Okay. Go back to the games properties and check the box where it says "Run this program for" and have it set to XP SP2. It doesn't matter if your OS is Vista.

Well I am out of ideas. As much as I hate having to say that when helping someone as nice as you have been. We have thrown every fix and trouble shoot that I know at this game. So unless someone else knows something that I don't I am afraid this will just have to be one that you will have to skip.
We have other English games that are better then this one that you can play instead. This is me totally not being biased. but I recommend Utawarerumono. I am not recommending it simply because it is an upload of mine *cough*, but because it is a fucking epic game. Also check out the Fakku recommends sticky for other great English games. Once again sorry that I couldn't help.

well. i guess your right. thank you very much for your time. as you can see this my first time posting on fakku forums. really, thank you for your warm welcome. guess i really have to skip this game. to think i was half way through yesterday. i really wish i didn't slept last night. oh well, gonna continue playing this after i reformat my unit.
