It is a pretty fun game, it is pretty unusual being the one selling the items for adventurers as a merchant and not an adventurer. But does anyone finds the game a touch unreasonable?
I mean the first week you need to raise 10k to pay the debt that the main character's father left for her (it seems to happen a lot in Japan, a family member making a debt and running away from it leaving it for his kin to pay it, as it is a pretty common theme in doujin, manga and games), but in the second week in the game the amount didn't only doubled, it trippled, it went to 30k, in the third week it went to even more absurd 80k, on the end of the first month the value gets even more absurd going to 200k...I mean sure a increase in the amount collected is expected, but such a wild climbing of the rates is senseless, one week makes next to impossible to gather the required amount.
Sure it is possible unless the game wouldn't ask it, but there must require some hellish luck to achieve that. The clients of the store complain a lot about the prices which makes the profit less than satisfying at times, especially with such a crazy deadline hanging on top of your head, it almost make me say 'girl forget about the house, get as much money as you can from the shop, stash it away from that ruthless fairy and let her seize the damn house...you are better off that way... you can start life anew somewhere else...'
I can't deny that I am a bit bitter for failing to meet the deadline, but 200k in one week... the other time that I failed was in the 30k week, but that was because a few mistakes and a small sum, like less than 300 bucks.
Anyway it is a pretty fun game, a bit unreasonable in the demands, but it is fun.
Anyone knows what are the requirements to change stuff inside the shop, I got on lvl9 or so with the girl and it says that I can change the wallpapers, floorboards and carpets of the store, I tried it lots of times and could do it, I even bought more units of the wallpaper thinking that maybe just one wasn't enough. And anyone knows how to unlock more adventurers in the guild? So far I only got the default one.
Worst case scenario is you fail, then loop around with all the items you had on hand before you failed. If you want to be cheap and know you're not going to make a deadline, you could cheat the system, spend all your money on goods, and then loop around to make the first 2-3 payments easily. From that point on your debt would just play catchup and you should have an easy enough time as long as you make as you keep a steady pace.
If you'd rather play without looping, it may take a minute to figure out, but isn't all that hard. Most people recommend buying stuff at 70% and selling at 104-108% for the first few weeks so that your loyalty ratings with the customers level up. After a doing this for a bit (while making enough to pay off your debt, of course)you can jack up the price considerably to everyone but the stupid little girl, friends (can usually sell for 110-120%), and the snob's fairy.
As for what to sell, food, weapons and armor all seem to sell pretty regularly. Once I have a bit of breathing room (be it because I just made a payment, or have 20k over my next payment amount) I'll buy up one of every item that only has 1 left in stock. That way if someone requests a certain type of item, I can usually meet it (and thus receive experience/money) and the items are usually a good amount more expensive than lower level items.
A
key concept is to buy red items and try to hawk them off immediately. It's not the biggest deal if you don't sell them (unless it goes to blue, in which case you should hold onto it for a bit), but you can sell them for at least 200%. I can easily get 230-270% now from just about anyone, even the little girl on occasion (usually don't bother with her and sell at 210%.) And if the items goes back to white before you sell all your goods, you can still sell the item for a profit, granted not as big of one because you paid a couple hundred/thousand more for the item. Another option, if you have some spare cash and can afford to have it held up for a bit, is to buy blue items. They don't sell for shit when they're still blue, but they're fairly cheap in the store. Once they go white, you just made a decent amount of profit, and I've had some items go red in no time at all.
Of course jump at the opportunity to buy both red and blue items for customers. You might want to be a bit wary of red items, but if you can get away paying 60-70% for a red item, and then sell it for 200%+ you just made a nice profit. Blue items are even better for either dungeon use or to stockpile for a later time; once your loyalty levels have gone up a bit you can generally buy for 15-30% of a blue item.
On the topic of dungeons, some fusion items have really complete ingredient lists that take forever to gather (personal experience may differ, of course), but I found one that's relatively easy and kinda farmable, though might not be the best use of time. Level 1 necklace requires a lizard tail and a 1000pix charm. It has a base price of 14k, and can easily fetch 15-17k. The lizard tail is a rare drop from the gnolls, but drops pretty frequently from the floor 10 forest boss. This is why it might not be the best use of time, but if you're absolutely strapped for cash, you could boss rush for the lizard tail. Of course selling the necklace may take some time, but the Guild master usually buys it from me in a few days, if I put it in the window.
