Recommend Me some RPGs for PS2

Don't bother with Persona 3 and 4. THey're average. Play Shadow Hearts Covenant. There are not many people that know this game. Its a diamond in th rough :D. There are two shadow hearts on the PS2. Play both! Skip the Shin Megami Tenseis

I found someone who is selling quite a few of RPGs on craigslist. So I'll probably be getting both Personas. But they're also selling the rare Tales of Abyss for $50. Is it worth it?

But as a side note. FUCK!! I accidentally deleted my Dragon Quest VIII save. Now I have to start at the beginning. I had 80+ hours logged on that file. Fuck my life.

TotA is totally worth it guy.
Just story-wise it will give like 60 hours, and i don't think any part of the story made me bored, and most rpg does that to me on a bit of the story or another.
it's full of extras and everything, one of my top 5 for ps2's RPGs.

No. Just no.

As much as I like Shadow Hearts 2, Persona 3 and 4 are on another level entirely. SH2 can't hold a candle to either in terms of character development or plot at all.

The only thing that SH has over Persona would be the battle system, but YMMV.

SH isn't bad in any regards, but to say don't even bother with Persona because he should rather be playing this game? This is madness.

Its to each their own. Seriously though. P3 and 4 are overrated. Hell, one was more interesting. Sure 3 and 4 were fun at many points, it just embodies the JRPG and goes a bit further. Now, i usually judge a game after i complete it and p3 and 4 were almost painstakingly easy to finish. There were a few points were the difficulty was kinda there but it wasn't challenging. Maybe I should run through it again without grinding? Then again I didn't do much of that either in my original run through.

Screw it all. Just play oldskool RPGs. Much better.
