If you like Dragonball you should get Tenkaichi 3 or Infinite World.
If you Like Naruto you should get Ultimate 4 or 5.
and if you like bleach, there are some good bleach games for the ps2 but they are all in japanese, if this doesn't bother you, you should download them.
and i can really recommend Kingdom Hearts 2, the gameplay is quite good, the cutscenes are stunning and the story keeps you playing.. Great game!

I'll throw out a recc for Ace Combat 5. Price has gone down a lot since it was released a while ago, so it's a great deal for the quality of gameplay you'll be getting. Story is pretty good as well, and the cut scenes aren't too bad.

That's my top 3-ish list. Others are SMT: Nocturne (rare dungeon crawler with the darkest plot in any JRPG), SMT: Devil Summoner or SMT: Devil Summoner 2 (better gameplay for the sequel, less of a unique story, though). Pretty much any Shin Megami Tensei game you can get your hands on. They're all great, dark JRPGs. The majority have multiple endings [like P4, Devil Summoner 2, and Nocturne]
