The only thing stopping me from going through this game is that the battles are boring. Not because the system is uninteresting, but the fact that the battles simply take way too long to execute. I really wish it were as fast paced as NI's games :\
Seconded, I love it but, damn the battles, damn, too much work. Position, position, posiiton, position, reposition, spam specvial attacks 240958495! Finish battle.
now for generic battle 2 of 20. Save and turn off the ps3, damn, i'm tired.
*goes back to killing random poor schlub with my kos-mos on xenosaga 3.*
i don't mind having battles taking long time, but, it gotta be done right.
FFT, Ogrebattle64, etc.. is all done right. xD
I could be enjoying evangelyne instead of annoying positionals.
I have this game and i auto-battle the fights. you can turn off the movement and attack animations in the menu and then press start, if i'm recalling correctly, and it will turn on the AI to battle for you. It is pretty nice to do for general grinding, but not bosses. There is a downside though. The AI will focus on one enemy almost entirely until it is dead, and overkill it. Unless it is out of range for a character. Offence takes precedence over healing, meaning the AI will not heal as much as you may like. Some characters may die, but the AI
WILL NOT revive them. Huge flaw there. That said, there are some good benefits. The AI is quite good at finding the combinations and will fill up your book. Go into an exploration area and grind until you are satisfied. Quite useful since explorations areas don't increase your turn count unless you exit them.
