Sorry to dissappoint you but Sengoku Rance is the pinnacle of these types of visual novels, there are not many that could even be considered better
Sengoku Rance is indeed a great VN, but is it the pinnacle? Not Really.
The most popular yes, the one that have the best gameplay? Not Really
There are plenty of
Not translated VNs that can be considered better than Rance's Gameplay. It's just that they're not translated, which means people mostly don't care about any "reviews" or praises it gets until it's translated.
One example is "Seinarukana -The Spirit of Eternity Sword 2-"
That is very true, but I was describing my experiences as someone who has only played translated visual novels, and by the user's response I was doubtful that he/she knew how to read Japanese, so I was mainly saying this as far as translated visual novels go, but you are indeed correct about certain untranslated visual novels that have better gameplay then Sengoku Rance. But also on untranslated games/visual novels even if I understand the gameplay and it is fun if I cannot understand the story it makes it feel like the glass is half empty; much like reading an untranslated doujin I that I am unable to read. It is hot but I still cannot understand it and I feel like something is missing. So that is why I said what I said, because it was a suggestion of visual novels that the user would most likely enjoy and be able to understand so he/she would get the full joy from playing those visual novels.
