Shikkoku no Sharnoth -What a Beautiful Tomorrow-

What is Sharnoth? What is the relationship between M and Baron? Who the hell is M exactly? What is the 4 false flame? Why M and Mary doesnt end up with each other, godammit?

Sharnoth is the 'Land of Darkness' where time is eternal and never moving, hence 'always today'. Once it was just a normal place/dimension/world/whatever and where powerful beings lived until one day humans found 'light'. This light brings 'tomorrow', and whoever lives in Sharnoth will disappear because of it, so everyone left Sharnoth except for the King/M.

M is the King of Sharnoth. An old man gave away his body to the King of Sharnoth to conduct an experiment on humans, and his body was split into 2: One was M, the human form ( KoS) and the other is Baron, the masked man. The masked man retains the old man's personality, hence the ridicule shit and stuff. Not quite sure since I forgot.

4 false flame is the lives of people who summoned the fantastic creatures and died.

I have no idea why they're not together.

Why did they get split up? Does the baron still part of KoS or not?

It's like this:

One old man, one King of Sharnoth.

Old man gives up his (young) body to King of Sharnoth so that the King could take a human form.

M and Baron is created. M is definitely the KoS. Not sure about Baron. They both share one body. Whenever you see M killing a fantastic creature, that's actually Baron at work. Sorry for the misinformation, not split into two.

If I remember correctly, the Golden Eye is from a Kadathian myth, of an eye that can see through everything. I was kinda forgot if it was related with an eye of a god or not. It was explained briefly in the earlier chapters (chapter 4, I think? I think it's in Churchill's chapters).

As for the end of our two protagonist, I seriously hoped that they hooked together (just like in falsehood M showed Mary), but in any way, we don't even know if M really survived Sharnoth or not nor they explained what happened after Mary pulled him from his throne and then Sharnoth was filled with light. But from the last letter Mary read in the end, probably he was there, and waited for Mary, somehow. Personally, I don't think anyone else would send her a fan message consisted of a quote from Monte Cristo besides him.

Or probably, Liar-Soft wants to troll us and left their relationship cliffhanger so we would ponder forever.

I was curious, has anyone read the webnovel, yet? Maybe it's explained there.

Oh yes M is back!!! And even better, so does Colonel Sebastian Moran!!! I really liked the cgs drawn too, made it all the more awesome! Too bad it doesn't exactly give a clear ending, but I'm pretty much satisfied all the way. Now I'm interested in the [Omnipotent] guy Leo, and the First Phenomenon Equation experiment, so I'll work as hard as I can to finish my Japanese studies to read Valucia and Sona-nyl... after my exams are over.

Indeed, the 《Omnipotent》 man seems quite interesting and I hope I'll get to read the story he's from someday.

What a concluded for Sharnoth is that Mary really isn't interessed in a romance with M. Pretty much what I felt from the game too. Also adored how she could save "that" and how she turned back one of M's lines on him.

Still, even if it was great for Mary to come back and bring M back with her to London, away from his usual dark life (What Jane and previous Moran wanted I think), I wouldn't have minded to see M show exactly what happen to guys who think they can take on 'big game' just because they accumulated firepower.
