I tried to play the game on the Xbox but honestly the controls are sh*t (probably because I'm not experienced in third person shooters though, especially on console). Still, the story is interesting and the scenery is awesome. The only REAL problems are: the shortness of the story (campaign is like, four hours long) and the dubbing (I have the Italian dub for the game, not the cool English one with Nolan North and company, and IT SUCKS).
Actually the controls are indeed wonky, not the perfect feel you get in most cover shooters. Though the moments where it screws you over aren't many, at least in my play through. You have no choice of region?
Unfortunately, no. Back in the old days of the PS2 (and even PSX to a certain degree) if a game was dubbed you COULD actually change the language (into English or one of the many European ones, be it German, Portuguese, Spanish, and so on). As of now, on the new consoles if the game isn't dubbed then good, if it is, then sorry you get the dubbed version and that's it.
Yeah I remember the days when we actually had options, but now it seems most people like to region block us and other things like that. God forbid another country's influence enters our master race utopia.

Im tired of FPS games with a modern setting to them, there is just way too many of them out right now, I think ill pass on this one.
This is why I like halo, star ocean, and final fantasy. something that is not modern and something that is original. they have a sense of originality that makes me return to them.
And other scifi gamers, book readers, etc. will say differently. There is no real sense of originality anymore in this modern age, majority of series draw their influences from other sources. What would be a more correct thing for you to say is that you just prefer scifi games as that genre is in your interest.
