Namco Bandai is taking the Super Robot Taisen formula and making a similar crossover with anime heroines.
Super Heroine Chronicle is a strategy RPG in development for PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3. The game brings together heroines from ten different anime and manga series.
Characters in Super Heroine Chronicle will have toon rendering so expect cel-shaded graphics.
Shinichiro Otsuka (Blue Roses, Eternal Poison), Satoshi Urushihara (Growlanser), and Toru Minazuki (To Heart) are artists for the game.
Super Heroine Chronicle plays like a traditional turn based strategy RPG where you move on a map and attack each turn The direction you attack can damage the battlefield and change the terrain. Characters have combination attacks too.
The setting takes place in a school in Akihabara that’s underneath a dome.
Here are the confirmed series so far.

Original characters are also being created:
Claude (CV: Hiro Shimono) – Designed by Shinichirou Ootsuka. A mysterious boy who lost his memory and whose faintheartedness makes him unfit for battle.
He’s a mysterious boy that traveled around the world, but lost his memory. Sometimes Claude will mutter things to himself. His timid personality makes him a natural pacifist and horrible fighter. In Claude’s specialty is escaping battles and he can use recovery magic.
Noel Kazamatsuri (CV: Rina Satou) – Designed by Satoshi Urushihara. A lively girl and sophomore at the St. Mont Blanc Academy who fights with magic.
Noel combines magic and black magic to create "magical magic," an ability she can use to attack enemies from a distance. She’s still learning so sometimes the skill may be ineffective.
When Noel was a child a magician in a purple leotard saved her life, so she aspired to become a magician to help people.
Meru Ransheru (CV: Hisako Kanemoto) – Designed by Tooru Minazuki. Noel’s childhood friend who has a completely opposite personality. She is a sophomore at St. Mont Blanc Academy.
She learned the art of the Magical Yoyo. Meru’s dream is to become an idol and tends to dress like one. She’s known Noel since the two were children.
I can understand the amount of series they have grabbed so far, since I can name about over 20 well known heroines from past and future series, but they want to see if this series does well and, if so, they will add more for future games.
I guess it's suppose to be a combination of Queens Blade: Spiral Chaos + Super Robot Taisen. Hell, if it plays like Super Robot Taisen, I'm sold.
Kinda reminds me of Kingdom hearts, in the fact that instead of characters from the Disney Universe, it's characters from the anime universe. Plus the combat is right up my alley. I hope it will get localized at some point.
OK, I'm gonna be absolutely honest... I'm not sure how good the game's going to look with different artists helming the characters. I mean, that problem can be solved in the transition to 3D, but the art style differences in the character portraits... yeah...
