So, the next Mothership title to be released from the Tales of Series is going to be Tales of Xillia (テイルズオブエクシリア, Teiruzu obu Ekushiria)
it's sub title An RPG of Unwavering Convictions
Gameplay
Unlike previous games in the series, Xillia has two main characters. At the beginning of the game, player will choose one character and experience the rest of the game from that character's point of view. The battle system is called the "Double Raid Linear Motion Battle System" (DR-LMBS), which focuses on two-character cooperative combat.
The game will feature two main characters, one male and one female, from different character designers. The game will mark the first time both character designers have worked together on a single game. Both designers have previously designed characters separately for different Tales games, with Fujishima working with Team Symphonia and Inomata working with Team Destiny

It's going to be released directly for the PS3, I just hope it doesn't need a Complete version, since it's "assumed" made to be a PS3 exclusive....
Well, I need a PS3 now. Like... yeah. When was the other Tales coming out again? I want one soon, since that's also PS3 exclusive. And then there's the Vesperia port... which was never released outside of Japan >_>;;;
Im kinda anoyed with them recently, last couple games they have come out with they just remake with more of everything and only in Jap. I have hopes for Xillia but after what they have been doing and giveing a big middle finger to the Western gamers who love there games im kinda turned off at it
Give me Tales of Graces first, then I'll care about it, really. I'm a huge "Tales of" fan, but c'mon Namco, what's the holdup with the US localization of the game.
Well getting that out my chest, Xilia looks interesting. The story being divided by two main characters could be good if done well, but it could also let the story become a little weak, hope not. Lets hope it comes to the US at least, although being a PS3 exclusive, it kind of have a better chance that Graces.
Oh, so now they finally doing a Tales game for the PS3. Took you a while NamcoBandai and yet will we ever see an international release? I'm having a mixed reaction with the announcement.
Graphics looks nice though the town kinda seems empty for now. Not sure about combat but looks okay for now. Since they finally made one for PS3, they better deliver.
The dual story lines might actually be interesting.
I really do hope a decision is made to again make NA versions because this is getting annoying how we haven't gotten a new Tales recently while there still spewing them every couple months or so in Japan.
It better come to america. I'm kinda getting sick of them pulling this.
Im still waiting for Tales of Graces. But it seems like Xilia sounds more intriguing than any other Tales yet.
And I'm still waiting for PS3 Tales of Vesperia >.<
You won't get that no matter how strong your wish is, looks at Symphonia, it's been like more than years.
It's always a trend with non PlayStation Releases for Tales of. Innocence and Hearts are not included, since both were made as Japanese first, where as Symphonia, Vesperia, was a dual language release. Don't know about graces because they never released an English version.
Tales of the Abyss and Legendia, which were PS2 exclusives didn't get this treatment. So, looking at that trend, this has a high possibility of a international version.

I can dream can't I? But seriously. I know. But mannnnn I'd love for it to come to america. Well we can only hope.
Not gonna happen. Namco Tales has already been quoted, although probably misrepresented and perhaps even horribly paraphrased, as not being interested in localizations anymore.
Which to be honest is fine by me. I'm sick of Namco Bandai's attitude towards the industry. Yes, I know they are hurting, but they certainly aren't being constructive. More like pouting and alienating international audiences and the Nintendo audience in Japan at large. Not a smooth move.
They can keep Xilia for all I care. Tales is in a sorry state right up there with Final Fantasy now. They need a whole new team of developers before I bother with another Tales game.

Being High and Mighty is not the right thing to do, and it gets worst when both sides are doing it at the same time. The western community must show that we still care about our beloved "Tales of Series". The fact that the game is going to be great or not is not there yet.
Fact is, all of their past games are considered great by many, it's just that they're not doing a great job in the PR section.
Keep your pride to yourself, and enjoy the end product. Who knows that they will "do" what they always do, "Localize it" one year later Like what they did with older series.
In the end if it became a really "great" game (localization is a different matter) then it's your loss. If it becomes a "Fail" game, you didn't win anything, except your pride and money.
Just pray that the game comes out at all, and then you can act all you want after that.

And it is that kind of overly optimistic attitude that allows what happens to the game industry to occur. Granted even if people did complain and actually took the time to protest and take other measures to do something rather than sit on their hands and hope for the best, things may still not happen. However, it's better than just sitting there.
well, let's just discuss about the "game company" in another thread and in another time. Don't want to de-rail something which is about "the game" itself. :D
since the game itself have a possibility of being a great game. Even though the Company doesn't care about localizing it doesn't mean it's a going bad game.
