It took me a good 3 days to come back to reality from this game after completing it the other day. My head was just full of the hauntingly beautiful story. Any other game I play now just feels like utter shite.
Lol. Yup. And Naughty Dogs outdid themself.
However, the ending kinda tugged at my heart, because Joel is force to choose between two: let Ellie die for the human race and the cure or save her life and lie about it.
Even worst is, at the end...you know that they both bonded in a way we'll never see. Not only that, but this game really define what it mean to be a survivor and how you view things from which perspectives.
Then again, in this world, humanity can surprise you.
and This game actually remind me of FFVII and FFX, where someone dies for a reason. :(
BUT
here's what i thought
If you see at the end of the game ellie's hand is worse. It's like the infections spreads out. Only slower on ellie. It takes 2 days for someone to turn, maybe ellie takes 2 years to turn. SO maybe the cure can't be made from ellie's brain.
Note ellie's look in the end.
She knows Joel is lying but instead go with him. I think it's because she knows the cure can't be made, or she loves Joel to much(in a daddy's way, you pedophile.) that she chose to believe in Joel's decisions.
But still i wish i had choices in the end whether to save ellie or not, whether to save ellie brutally or not, or whether to lie or not
sorry for not looking back and taking a while to respond, but i haven't noticed it. also, i kinda like how they reported that it infect the brain.
and yeah, i'm with you on this one. however, i wouldn't be surprised if they made a sequel to this game, but with a different main character that MIGHT have an attachment to Ellie, but is now seeking to put her down. i wouldn't be surprised if they did that.
also, a cure using Ellie isn't possible, unless, like some scientists' theory and several doctors, there is a cure from 1-in-a-million or something like that. i wouldn't be surprised if Ellie happen to be that cure and what she has, beside that fungus, might be a way to slow it down enough to fight back? who know?
but i can only hope one thing: that they NEVER make a sequel to this game. i like the ending. gives us so many different possible ending to this game. so many possible theory about how they live out their lives.
and no, i think Ellie knew, either that or she knows that she slowly turning, and didn't want to crush Joel's whatever. but even worst, it could be that Ellie knew about it, and what happened.
