Combo set upgrade section confused me a little (I think I did it right... I think... Replacing Crash with Mask and let Crash become the upgrade should be fine... I think...), but I think I did fine... I think... *epic confusion*
I recommend playing in the Practice area for a while to mix and match your abilities and find OP "combined upgrade effects" where two upgrades on a Function create an entirely different effect. For example, if you upgrade Jaunt with Spark+Get it will create grenade gravity wells at EVERY location between you and the Jaunt location. Control, escape and minor dps fused into one spammable function that's super cheap in Turn mode.
Usually I don't run Mask because it's C/D is too long even with upgrades, I only use it as a replacement for escape if Jaunt is overloaded or against bosses where it can make attacks one shot bosses. As a passive Mask can be decent especially if your running a high-dps but low durability build, exceptional against BadCells or anything you can oneshot since you can just chain kills and keep yourself invincible.
My build(keeping in mind that this is late-game after massive XP gain from limiters, which I recommend using since there are distinct counter in your Functions to each Limiter) is unbeatable, the only situation where I've "died" (I just restarted since my main skill was overloaded and that would make the later fights annoying) was where three Man 2.0s hit me simultaneously. The build's best Function is Void+Tap+Purge. Combined you will regenerate around 25% of your life while the enemy crawls over to you to deal around 1-2 damage while taking 200+dmg over time. I AM GOD.
....talking about builds is getting me excited for a game I've already 100% already. I'm going to go into Practice mode and cook something up. I'll also want to find my favorite soundtrack in the game, how about you?
I also want to bug the hell out of you to see how you interpreted the ending.
