Translation patches

Now I'm sure many of you are aware of emulators and what they are. You can get emulators of many different systems, download ROMs or ISOs and play console games on your computer. Now then, there is this thing called an acekard(acekard.com) that let's you put an emulator and ROMs onto it and play them on your DS.

Now for the problem. The only way you can play games in english is if english versions of the game were made. Thus you would get english games in the form of ROMs. Now as we all well know many games are and will always be exclusive to japan, i.e. not in english. So in response to this people have made translation patches for the ROMs. Problem is I don't know where to get them.

If anyone here can offer some help I would greatly appreciate it.

It usually depends on the game. There are no universe translation patches. Usually if you're looking for a rom, you'll find the translation patch or a hint to one that exists.
