I hate these 2 achievements!
The orange box (Half-life 2)
Metal gear solid 2
They are impossible to achieve.
Yeah, I remember crossing paths with you earlier.
Great Dane in MGS2 HD wasn't too hard for me, it was just too time consuming. I managed to get that one last week, but it took awhile. Also, the info for Great Dane may be inaccurate for some folks, as you only need to have to unlock all the special items required for the trophy/achievement to pop, meaning you just need the number of tags to get Snake's infinite bandana and his Stealth Suit, (up to 76 if you collected them from V. Easy to Hard) then ALL of Raiden's five sets of tags to unlock all wigs and the stealth suit. (Very Easy to Extreme.)
That's where I think where the problem starts, aside from missing tags you'll need for the requirements. Some Extreme bosses like the Harrier, Vamp and the 20 Rays can be frustrating, but if you played the game long enough to be familiar with their patterns, they aren't so dangerous any more, which was the case with me. Vamp can be cheaped out by simple using the Nikita trick, while all you need for the Rays is just pure concentration. Solidus's torture hold can be a problem if you don't have fast enough fingers, (I would recommend rubbing your index finger nail on the required button as fast as possible to keep your oxygen as high as possible) and the final fight was also easy as long as you can flip through whenever he shoots his missiles, (requires some good timing) and you can block ALL of his attacks in Extreme.
The one hard trophy/achievement I would be worried about is Virtually Impossible, MGS 1 Snake's missions will make you go nuts if you're not prepared for the harder stealth and Variety missions. I've been working on it since FAKKU was down and surprisingly, I'm already at 97% percent of completing everything so far.
