DUDE! I thought NOBODY here knew insani.org's goods! Yeah, that, by far was the best, short VN of all time! thanks for reminding me of it! since my pervious hard drive that contained the game banged up on me, I'll be DLing it :D

True remembrance Is a must for those who like story over sex on VN's. and for a free VN, it's quality is awesome, not to mention the ED song.

and as for narcissu, that got stuck in my mind like a leach. got a hold of narcissu 2? wasn't free like the first part >_<

There's no patch for Prism Ark...and the other game too.

I think these Translator groups needs a VN expert by their side...they just keep on (usually) translating mediocre VNs....

So... SO... True.

they should be 'expert' enough to judge what they translate isnt it? i mean, they are ones who know enough of the language to translate?

i duno. who do both of you think are these people who translate mediocre vns?

Well, since I have never met a translator before, all of these are just assumptions and opinions

Fantasy Side:
A translator who is fluent in both languages and really experienced in VNs, have played more than a 100 VN and have the sources for VN related news, and have friend that is equal in that knowledge and can also translate. Will translate VNs that are labeled BEST GAME or has a ranking.

Reality Side (from what I assume):
Translator Usually Fluent in English and somewhat got a passing grade in Japanese, that doesn't have many experience and only play a dozen VN, and have friends that only knows how to translate. Getting their news only from rumors and suggestions from inexperienced VN player. Will translate usually sex oriented VNs, because SEX = WIN.

well, that's mostly my opinion and "imagination"
so, don't go "Flame" on me if somehow anyone who reads this feels offended.

great imagination! anyhow, i believe your imaginary reality to be quite far off from what is happening. we got our most prolific translators planning on doing either (games that they really like) or (already highly rated scripts). anyway, 'best game' or 'ranking' shouldn't really be an important factor to translators, nor should it determine whether they are from your imaginary or imaginary reality side. e.g. takajun did wanko to kurasou for fun and its not exactly what you would call a 'best game', yet, you wouldnt say that he's "Usually Fluent in English and somewhat got a passing grade in Japanese, that doesn't have many experience and only play a dozen VN, and have friends that only knows how to translate. yes, lol, I really wish all of the translators are like my Imaginary version. :) and since my Reality version is just an assumption, it's value is void. lol

I really want people to Start playing Comic Party... T_T, and a translation would be the only way to attract people. It's strange that most translator overlook this VN, and Fakku has 2 versions of the game that they can get for free.

and about only "Best game" and "Rankings that should be prioritized for translation, because there must be a reason why a game got Labeled as "Best Game". And that's not from just a High sales number, since most of the VNs that are Labeled as "Best Game" that I have played have a decent story and overall is a great VN from all other aspects.
