What "class" do you play in a MMO?

I usually play offensive because its simply too much of a hassle to cast spells and shit when you can just waltz in there and bring down the hammer on your enemies.

The best defence is offence!

I generally want to play something that can do some real damage. Rather get in there and end the fight quickly than drag it out.

Melee, generally offensive, although sometimes I like to switch it up and play defensive. I never like playing ranged, especially "elementalist" type classes. 2H-swords are my preferred weapon in most games.

A battlemage that has the ability to both dish it out and support the party when needed.

Usually go with the aggressive melee DPS class. FFXI was Samurai, WoW was Ret Pally, GW2 will be Warrior.

Whatever I feel like... I like being balanced...

But I like tanking; the satisfying feeling of going into impossibly large mobs only to come out victorious.

For me it's the feeling of "you can't touch this" *insert Mchammer Video here*.

Besides the obvious I'm the protector of my team, The feeling of getting hit but didn't feel a thing is what makes me satisfied.

And who doesn't like "Auto Guard" in Ragnarok Online... lol

Usually a mix of defensive/ranged/support - meaning I can still hold my own while providing support for anyone who needs it.

I prefer range and support. Fighing up close is nice but nothing is better then having control over your team mates life when they are about to die.

Mostly Defensive or Support.
I'm experienced in the art of running away.

I usually go with the offensive type that has a hp drain skill or a defensive type that has a shit ton of hp, atk, and def buffs.

DnD type war cleric.

After playing numerous mmo's this past couple of years.

I have always settle between 2 class type.

Damage and Tank.

It really depends on my taste of the game. Like in Secret World I play as a damage dealer cause its easier for me while in DCUO and in the upcoming Guild Wars I'm planning to play as a tank role.

Offensive. Most often assassins/agility types.

Offensive, with Twin Swords as my main weapon. Why?

BECAUSE I FREAKING LOVE TWIN SWORD COMBO ATTACKS!!

I prefer the defensive roles. The tank, rather. I like the idea that I'm the wall between my team, and the mob.

I prefer the ones with offensive abilities as long as it's quick on the draw and agile, I'm usually the guy behind the boss monster hitting it with damage dealing spells/attacks with the tank in the front.

Strong offense and mobility but low defense and endurance, there's a term for that it's called a "glass cannon".


I can deal it but can't take it, I love a good challenge.

I Forgot to y'all what i play as, how rude of me, "The most important job is always the least desired",
Meaning i play as support or defence, I've never been able to be a good offensive player, I'd rather give better attackers buffs or hide behind my shield.

I usually play ranged characters in most game types. But in Lol i play support. I love roleplay "supporting" everyone as sona if you know what i mean ;)
