I'm currently playing "Nier" in America. Got it for the PS3 (the port was really well done).
Hey, did you know that Kaine (raunchy rumored hermaphroditic female lead) is voiced by the VA who did Persona 4's Rise? Oh yeah. Go search for voice clips from both, and you'll see just how surprising it really is. Woman has RANGE.
Nier, the main character, is voiced by the same VA who did The Count in "Gankutsuo: The Count of Monte Cristo". That being said, if Kaine turns out to be an eventual love interest for him, it wouldn't be the biggest taboo romance he's taken part in.
Of course, the reason I gave this game the time of day (before learning who voiced the others, anyway) is the voice of Grimoir Wiess. His VA brought to life the coolest, most (if not the only) respectable gay video game character: Endrance (.Hack//G.U.).
This game has some serious pedigree.
