It makes no sense and it insults everything I know about the US military and world politics. The third game seems to be the worst offender.
This. It seems that in the effort to try and make each game seem bigger and more intense, the creators decide to go the Michael Bay route. That is, an increasing lack of logical direction punctuated with large explosions to throw some "variety" into the mix, completely forgetting that the backdrop of the game requires consideration of how foreign politics work.
But that aside, I honestly love the multiplayer aspects of both the BF and CoD series. Certainly, I'm a larger fan of Battlefield due to larger maps and the presence of vehicles, but I've had quite a bit of fun playing the recent CoD games.
