What's your favorite underrated game/s

Not sure if there was a topic for this, but here goes: We've all come across masterpieces of game genres in our times, but what about the games that were overlooked by the big dogs, the minor, hidden gems we were fortunate to just bounce into and then suddenly thought it was the best game ever and wanted to see it through the end? I've created this topic to share my personal findings of the minor games that didn't cater to everyone's tastes, but you thought it was so damn good, it held a special place in your gaming collection and deserved more recognition. I'm sure the gaming faction here must have a specific game that didn't get high in popularity, but was still well received because of its enjoyment value. Here's an example out of my recent gaming experiences: 1) Lollipop Chainsaw: I didn't quite expect a game starring a blonde, chain toting cheerleader carrying around her boyfriend's head while killing zombies would appeal to me, but the more I played it, the more I got hooked to the black humor, the creative boss fights, it's high quality done English dubbed cast, and the soundtrack inspired me to get everything in it. It's not for everyone, but it's good if you like games for just having real fun in your spare time. 2) DarkSiders: At least THQ will be remembered for giving us this epic hack and slash game that takes adventuring and story telling on a whole new level. It was my first hack and slash PS3 game and I recall spending restless nights trying to deal with the challenging dungeons and puzzles. And it was three times the normal playing time than most other action games out there, I spent about six months on this game before I got the platinum, well worth it. What's your favorite, yet not so popular game?

I very much wanted to play the first, the second though, I find the side diversions a little... boring (currently arrived in South America). I wouldn't mind the side diversions if it touched on character development more, especially between the male and female lead. (I have to find motivation to go back and finish the game.)

I admit that the third game had a very lame storyline, but the gameplay itself is enough for me to play it 4 times over, getting all them snaps and personal items was fulfilling for me.

Opps, I thought it was the 2nd this entire time. Considering I'm bad with reaction and timing, the combat system was a real work out for me (often times screwing me over...) ~Haunting memories re-emerging, anger resurfacing~

(Now I have another game I want to play).
