I love animeholics arguements o-o Makes the PS3 seem like more than the DVD it was when it released. Generally the people who bought PS3 off the shelves on release day got this response from me. "Enjoy watching spiderman 3 on Bluray for the 19th time? I haven't seen that movie because I have been too busy gaming on my console, Jealous?" To this day I still haven't seen spiderman three and I thank Xbox360 for that.
What? You make it sound like the only reason you didn't buy a PS3 was because it came with a movie that you assumed would be the only source of entertainment, forsaking the fact that there existed
games for the PS3 at the time as well. You are also making the assumption that people bought the release day PS3 and then directly went to watching Spiderman3 an unprecedented number of times. The truth is, that movie was simply a slight bonus to buying a PS3, much like getting free mints after finishing a meal.

For now though I can easily say Xbox has a more satisfying gaming experiance, Next year? Probably not >.>; PS3 is already the better home media console but like its already been said, thats not why people buy a PS3.
The gaming experience is gauged on a level of the individual's enjoyment of the game. It is very difficult to conclude that either the 360 or the PS3 have one over the other in the category of "gaming experience". There is no strict ruling system as to whether one thing in general is "better" than another. In the end, it's up to what the gamers enjoy.
More people buy the PS3 as a home media player than you think. With most people I've talked to, the major reason to buy a PS3 over the 360 was the fact that it includes a Blu-ray player.
