I never steal any video games because I hate pirates. It's depressing to see good games like World of Goo not getting any sales because people can't afford to spend fifteen measly bucks. Cheap bastards. Video games are not a cheap hobby. If you can't afford them, it's probably a good idea to get a damn job.
The only game I've downloaded is Mother 3 and that's only because Nintendo hates us and never release it here.
I can understand being upset when people pirate new games, and it upsets me, too, but what about older games? Is there really anything wrong with pirating the original Mario Bros, even if you don't own the original cartridge? It's not like Nintendo would get any extra money if you shell out a bunch of cash for it. And though you could order it on the Virtual Console (I assume they have it), it wouldn't further the idea that Mario Bros is a great game and similar games need to be made.
To put it simply, downloading Street Fighter 4 is wrong, but what about downloading the SNES rom of Street Fighter II?
