sooooo built in wifi and shinny is the only diff? cmon sounds like an epic waste o money to me.
Built in Wifi and a 250 GB HD saves you roughly $100 apiece from buying an original model. Not really a waste of money at all if you have an original system... And if you've got a small HD and no wireless with your regular one, may as well trade it in for the credit to upgrade, it seems.
I've been hearing about console failures already though, any proof to this?
I haven't seen any for myself.
But I've heard of RRoD like things and damage to discs.
The Disc Damaging when moved problem still exist though.
it's damage is more severe than other consoles.
So does red ring... sort of. Instead of fixing the problem they just put in a kill switch, so that the system will just shut down instead of getting fried. While your system won't break anything you haven't saved is pretty much gone. Not to mention the long "recharge" period. It also would not surprise me to find out the kill switch could very easily fail or that there will be some negative long term effects.
They should have make sure that The Disc won't be Damaged, even though you move it around, rather than just leave it alone, "till your little cousin starts messing around with it..." lol
